"Days get shorter and shorter, nights longer and longer . . . before you know it, your life is just one long night with a few comatose daylight hours."

"Cocktail" Video

"It pretends to be a drama about New York’s singles scene, but when was the last time you saw some douchebag bartender take five goddamn minutes to mix a drink—and be wildly cheered on for making a show of it? And while we never see Tom Cruise slurp a brain eraser off Elisabeth Shue’s rack, he does perfect the selfish-yuppie role he’s run with ever since."

The movie Cocktail is not about some "douchebag" bartender, It's about how we are so cought up in what other people think of us that we rarely ever do what we want to do. We want bigger we want better and we all want to get there quick. We cant all go to college and own a skyscraper in New York City and thats ok. Work hard live within your means and be happy. Something that 20 years after the movie most of us still cant do.
