British alternative rock band, Coldplay, will appear at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida, on August, 9, 2009. 

Coldplay formed in London in 1998 and consists of lead singer Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion. The group has sold more than 40 million albums and is known for such hit singles as "Yellow," "The Scientist," "Speed of Sound," "Fix You" and "Clocks." Coldplay's fourth studio album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, was released in June 2008. The song, "Viva La Vida" became Coldplay's first song to reach No. 1 in both the United States and United Kingdom. Other songs on the album include "Life in Technicolor," "Cemeteries of London," "Lost!", "42," "Lovers in Japan/Reign of Love," "Yes," "Violet Hill," "Strawberry Swing" and "Death and All His Friends."
