"Journey - Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" Video
Amateur Video
"Someday love will find you, Break those chains that bind you"... The action takes place on a wharf for some unknown reason. The band plays invisible instruments. Lead singer Steve Perry, dressed in a "muscle shirt," overacts shamelessly and grimaces maniacally like he's got a severe case of constipation. The rest of the band members join in with some grotesque, pseudo-macho posturing. One of the band members even plays a stirring air guitar. A hot chick strolls by as the guys drool and slobber over her.
MTV itself signaled this music video out as one of the 25 videos that would never again see the light of day (along with such masterpieces as "Ice Ice Baby" from Vanilla Ice).

Actually I really like that video. And I love Steve Perry and Journey. But I know that it was so cheesy.

The video was Cheezy yes, but who can deny the MILLIONS of albums they sold, that means someone was listening, at least I will admit it I was and still am a Journey Fan (should rephrase that) a STEVE PERRY fan, because without his voice the music is gone.

I didn't think the girl was that pretty or really that cute. But Perry's tight jeans is the reason I watch it. The video of After the Fall, who in the world is the shadow at the very end is what i want to know.

Give me a break. You got laid to Journey. And that was the reason.

Althought the video was bad, the song was and still is one of the best songs ever written. Journey was obviously more than some 1980's flash in the pan, scoring a few hits iin the 70's as well. And yes, alot of us did get laid because of Steve Perry's soaring vocal range. Thank you Steve Perry, your a god!
