Springsteen belts out a song, invites young chick on stage to dance. The young chick is Courtney Cox (later to appear as Alex's girlfriend on Family Ties and then on that other show).

Those cynics who believe that Springsteen sold out back in the 1980s trace the exact moment of his decline to this contrived, utterly pointless and grating video. All anybody remembers about this thing is that Courtney Cox was the member of the audience who "spontaneously" was invited to dance on stage with the Boss. Apparently she was chosen from an audition with about 300 other aspiring starlets. And she didn't even have to flash her breasts to get the Boss' attention, how about that for reality? Springsteen should have stuck to his ideals and picked some slobbering, loudmouthed, fat chick from New Jersey to dance on the stage like a harpooned whale on crack. That would have been funny as hell. Oh yeah, it says here that Brian De Palma (Carrie) directed this shlock. Huh?

Bruce Springsteen never sold out...fuck everybody.
