I watched an interview with Belinda Carlisle recently where she said the band didn't even know what a music video was when they shot footage for "Our Lips Are Sealed." So they drove around town, jumped in a water fountain, etc. Although The Go-Go's (Carlisle, Charlotte Caffey, Gina Schock, Jane Wiedlin and Kathy Valentine) stop by that "Trashy Lingerie" store, how come the camera didn't follow them in? That footage alone might have elevated the video above something merely banal.

Note: "Our Lips Are Sealed" should not be confused with "My Lips Are Sealed," a 1956 hit by the late, great country singer Jim Reeves: "If you love him as I love you, forget the past I led you through/Just don't look back, it's all concealed, my lips are sealed . . ."
