I think number 3 despite Snopes claiming that it hasn't been verified or unverified is likely true. What do I base the claim on? She is barren (that she admitted in an interview) and thus had to adopt. She refuses to discuss the rumor, which is like saying "yes." If she had said no and she wouldn't discuss it further I might believe her. Her not willing to discuss the issue leads me to believe it's true. 1% to 2% of all children born are intersexual. I really don't see it as that big of a deal. So what if she was? She is still a she.

On Jamie Lee Curtis, hermaphrodite technically means you produce both ova and sperm, so that's out. She may, however, be some variety of intersex. For example, she might have complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS), in which a baby is born with XY chromosomes, but looks completely female. Because of the body's insensitivity to androgen, a masculinizing hormone, the testes kind of hang out in the body about where the ovaries would normally be, and otherwise the woman is in every sense female (excluding her obvious inability to menstruate or concieve.) In fact, these women are hyperfemale, as typical women produce some androgen. They even tend to look the part, with little to no body hair, a slim, long-legged, moderately busted frame. If you placed a CAIS woman next to a normal woman in a lineup and asked an average guy which was more "feminine," I'd put good money on the woman with CAIS. They get really screwed by laws preventing gay marriage though, because their sex isn't easily identified.

Jamie Lee's condition is known as CAIS (chronic androgen insensitivity syndrome). She never had male parts because her androgen (testosterone and DHT) receptors did not work in development. She is XY and lacks a uterus, fallopian tubes, cervix, and upper 1/3 vagina. The lower 2/3 vagina developed fine as did the rest of the "default" female sex characteristics. She probably has/had testicular gonadal remnants in her labial pouches or somewhere within her abdominal cavity (streak gonads). I would imagine they were removed due to increased germ-cell cancer risk. So there.

Number 3: Absolutely true. She technically has both x and y chromosomes, although her his-bits were removed shortly after birth. This is actually not that uncommon; about as common as red hair or left-handedness.
